I dont have a degree in anything despite having a 3.8 GPA in everything else. Math RUINED me.

The educational system chose to punish me because I simply CAN NOT wrap my head around algebra.

They said that I wouldn't be "well rounded" and not ONE NOT ONE math professor EVER cut me ANY slack AT ALL. EVER. PERIOD.

Imagine that for a second, you would reject a brilliant Med student because he/she can't play the piano.

no offense but math did not ruin you...and I am sorry that not one math professor cut you any slack...it sounds to me like you needed more help in math and that cutting you slack would have been counterproductive. As for the education system punishing you...that sounds like a sob story and that you are blaming others. I think that anyone should be able to grasp simple math, and I am sorry but algebra is simple. I may not have the aptitude in other disciplines that I had in Math and Science, but I just worked even harder in those disciplines. I always thought it ridiculous that while at Furman, people could take math and science classes for non-science majors but when I took history, I did not get a watered down version...maybe I should complain that my GPA was artificially low

I would also absolutely reject a med student who can't do Math, the piano makes no sense and is not a good analogy in my estimation...
