On a couple of message boards GT fans wanted to join the B1G and end the series with UGA. I would be supremely pissed off if that were to occur. I don't care what conference they do or don't join but I LOVE beating their asses on a yearly basis.

With conference realignment there is a chance that rivalries will end and new ones are born. Look at Texas and Texas a&m.

Texas/aTm happened because little brother wanted to get out from under big brother's shadow by going to another conference. Big brother then threw a hissy-fit and decided to take his ball and go home. Not quite the same as UGA/Tech. I also hate "new rivalries"...it's a crock of shit.

I can easily see conference expansion endangering a lot of old OOC rivalries, but I'd rather give up playing Troy or Southwest Central Florida Technical College and keep Clean Old Fashioned Hate.
