I didn't get to watch much of the game Saturday but I did see Nosovitch's TD pass to Adams. At first glance, it doesn't look like the guy has that strong of an arm, but then he makes a throw like that, that makes you say wow. I had to leave after that play so I'll rewatch the game sometime this week.

It sounds as though both players had solid Springs and the coaching staff accomplished what they wanted with both guys. Both got a ton of reps, both seemed to improve. It sounds like Connor Mitch might've made the most improvement though.

Thoughts?
I have to admit, after watching the replay of the Spring Game last night,
Noso saved his best practice of the spring for the final scrimmage. I
thought he did an exceptional job Saturday.... However, I still think
Connor Mitch (limited reps Saturday, but looked very good in his short
time) has the most potential to take this program past the level that
it has gotten to with Shaw as the QB.
Using the play of both Noso and Mitch to this point, Connor has shown
the most improvment in the shortest amount of time and if he is a
good student of the Xs and Os part of the game, I think this guy is going
to be the future of the program. Dylan is the starter Next year (pretty
much a given). The battle for his backup is going to be tremendous.
I wouldn't even speculate that either Noso or Mitch overtakes Dylan
as the starter at any point next season, but IMO, Mitch will start to
show the potential as a future starter this fall, or by next Spring. I think
he will be more of the kind of QB Spurrier has wanted here since day one
of taking over this program. Connor's biggest flaw that I see right now
in the early stages is physical development (especially the lower body).
A year with the S/T coach should start to change that as well. ... Will
be interesting to see the development of Noso and Mitch over the
next 12 months.

My guess is Noso will not ply this year unless we have a big lead, late...mop up time.

In 2014, Thompson should, of course, be our #1 QB and the backup role is too far away to be determined. Both of our younger QB's have a chance to do good things. Mitch has more hype, but I would not count out any QB who was about 150 yards shy of being the top total yards QB in PA history.

As with SOS, the best QB will start and that is good enough for me.

If Shaw stays healthy and can play, why would you think we would bring Noso in to run plays that fit Shaw's skill set? Shaw>Noso. By far.

Barring some serious injuries, I don't see Noso getting any meaningful PT in 2013.
Correct. I expect to see Nosovitch relieve Shaw if Shaw is injured (which happens)and we are doing well with his style of play or if he's simply ineffective and Thompson doesn't fill-in well because of injury or he's just off. Last year vs Wofford would be an example. I don't expect much playing time - and certainly don't wish for it. If Shaw isn't available near full strength for any games I expect Thompson to start, but Nosovitch may be fully ready to run the offense if needed. I don't expect much QB play beyond the 2 deep unless there is an injury or extreme blowout.

Thought both looked good.
One point - Zip when you need it & touch when you want it doesn't equal a weak arm.

Brendan needs to play. The only way to develop is to get out there in a real game. We always have guys who practice one way and play another...nothing like a real game to see what the QB can handle and whether he can make plays in the face of a pass rush. Considering his HS career, accolades, stats, etc; Brendan should be a cut above Connor/Dylan, but we'll never know until he plays & matures.
There's still a chance that he turns out to be the guy after this year....we'll see.

It's funny u mention the S & C coach and getting his lower body more solid...his first day on campus & first workout...I remember reading a tweet he said something along the lines of his legs have never been worked that hard. Lol. On top of that...every athlete knows when it comes to the power side of sports...power comes from the ground up. He looks that good now & has that kind of arm strength...imagine what throws he will be able to make once he spends a few months with our coaches in the gym! Also Orth & Noso had very solid & impressive games under pressure to conclude the Spring! Very excited to see what this roster produces
