Thanks. It really is the only acceptable option at this point. He's losing on the field and his recruiting is getting worse. A couple more years and we will be Colorado.

Yeah... I was for Dooley getting another year after the USC game... but he barely beat Troy, then lost to Mizzou on questionable decisions there at the end of the game..

Its time to find a better coach.

If TN had any sort of defense, they'd be almost undefeated. If I were a TN fan, I'd be wanting a defensive minded coach.

It's my understanding Petrino is out of the question - not because he screwed around, or lied, or anything else in his past, but because he violated state and federal hiring laws when he hired his squeeze. This opens up the uni for a perfect sh*tstorm...

Its a good job and a move up for any of the above mentioned guys. I think Pertino is out, and I'm not sure about the chances of success with the rest of them except Patterson. Stron hasn't proven he can get the job done in a major conference, Franklin is just a loud mouth, and Golden is having problems winning in the acc. I think if I were the UT money guys Patterson would be my choice and I think they get him if they want him.

I think Dooley is gone. Remember Bill Battle, the Tenn coach who never had a losing season, but was fired because he couldn't beat Bama? The Vol Nation is not a patient bunch.
As for a replacement, I like Patterson. He is a good coach, and it would open up TCU for Morris to bail on Clemsux.

I'm not sure about the rules to posting Bleacher Report around here, but I thought this was an interesting list...except for Dabo. I would laugh for a long time if Tennessee hired Dabo.
