Spurrier staying to reach 100 wins, music to Carolina ears.

If we won the SEC in the next few years (say in two years) which gives him around 90 wins at South Carolina, would he call it quits and bow out at the highest note?
I think the most important goal for Spurrier is winning SEC more than anything and he will be done coaching when it is accomplished. He won't wait to get 100 if that is the case. |

Just his talking about getting the 100 sends a message to recriuts, and should put a damper on the "negative recruiting" about how long SOS will be here. Every year the clempsux of the recruiting world keeping telling our recruits that SOS will retire soon.
With the Greenville Snooze writing this column, what can the Taters say???? |

If SOS stays healthy, and we keep winning........ I could see him staying long enough to beat Bear's record.......
But SOS has stated many times, he will not go out like many coaches who just seemed to fade away........ SOS is way to proud for this! Having said this, I have no problems with 100 wins, and hang it up...... this can EASILY be accomplished in 4 more years...... 34 wins could even be accomplished in 3 years, now THAT I would LOVE to see!!!!

I was so pumped by that story. It made me smile a little bigger. It is sometimes rough in Greenville due to the excess CU coverage. I was thrilled that Bart Wright gave us some attention.

So he's only staying 3 more years?
next year with 14 wins and 2 more 10+ win seasons and that's it? I thought he would stay for at least 4 years. Oh well...
