Good look with Men's Recruiting threads. Frank is a stealth recruiter - you never hear that he is looking at a player until he commits. And a lot of his players come from out of state.....or out of the country. Almost all of our bigs are "from off", as they say here in the Low Country.

Dawn is more fun - she is involved with most of the big time recruits.

Not to even mention that the WBB team recruits 5 star athletes that it is easy to find info on. The men's team, as Ace stated, is hard to follow. You never know who Frank is after from overseas and you rarely hear about transfers until the last minute.

There are plenty of resources to find information on Men’s hoops recruiting, reporters, websites, etc.. even for stealth recruiters like Martin, the information is there.. WBB doesn’t have that luxury... any news we get on recruiting comes from hard work and digging (and a little guesswork) mostly done by us, THE FANS, and we post it here to share with other WBB fans that might be interested. WBB recruiting isn’t nearly reported on as well. Also, Dawn and Frank are recruiting different caliber athletes in their sport... Staley is recruiting amongst the best. Martin is recruiting 2nd and 3rd tier athletes for the most part. So, like it’s already been said, it’s more fun to follow Staley.

If you want more information on Men’s recruiting, instead of coming into a women’s recruiting thread and “yawning” how about actually do your own research and find it instead of expecting it to be given to you. And just for clarification, this post isn’t directed at Spur either.

DG, thanks for what you do to help us all out. Much appreciated.

To defend Frank...we are recruiting players that might be 2nd or 3rd tier in terms of recruiting rankings, but not necessarily 2nd or 3rd tier athletes. That is why Frank likes the international big men - they have physical talent but are under the radar and need to be coached up.

Guys like Chris Silva have a lot of physical talent, just need to develop their skills. Frank takes advantage of the fact that they usually stay four years and really gets them to step their games up.

Speaking of that, have you noticed Maik Kotsar having stepped up his game in a big (no pun intended) way? His ball handling skills have improved dramatically, and he drives to the basket better than any of our guards. If he could just shoot free throws, he would be much more dangerous.

UPDATE: ESPN Hoopgurlz #58, Ramani Parker, has narrowed down to top 6.

Duke, Michigan, Louisville, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Oregon State make the cut.

She eliminated South Carolina, Baylor, UCLA and Stanford.
