I live about 10 miles from Ridgeway. It is a very small town in Fairfield county which is quite rural. You will laugh at the PD dept building... my dorm room was bigger! Should be a quiet gig for the most part. Good luck!

Yes there are. I've been on Active duty for 19 years and make 50K a year.
If I were an officer, I'd easily be making 6 figures.
Having a degree would automatically put you ahead for a commission.(Officer)

Or go enlisted, get picked up on the commissioning program and get your master's degree paid for by the military.

When you come down off your high horse here's some advice, work a temp job until you are hired somewhere and it may take a couple years for that to happen or LONGER. But doing temp work is better for the soul than no work.

I dont really think I am in position to be on any sort of "high horse", but thanks for posting. I worked in carpet for almost 8 months in no air conditioning plant. I worked my ass off(literally lost 20 lbs) to show these people how bad i wanted a permanent spot ad they told me for 4 months they would hire me. Through the process they narrowed it down form 50 temps to 2 of us that lasted throught the heat, and hired the other guy bc his mother worked there.

Im not real sure how i could be on a high horse when i drove to Columbia to Aerotek, took my dt, filled out paperwork, and then worked at the plant for 8 months knowing i was doing the same work as everyone else in the plant but not getting paid the same. So again, not sure where my high horse came from.
