Ole Miss is kickin azz in recruiting this year

This whole thread is ridiculous. I'll remind all of you that when Lou first brought in highly ranked class, which included Derek Watson if I remember right, people all over the country were accusing South Carolina of passing out cash. Same thing when Spurrier started bringing in top recruits like Gilmore, Lattimore, and Clowney.

Now a few point by point refutations: Someone said Nkemdiche's mom was offered a job in Oxford...she has a job as a government official in Nigeria and her husband is a doctor in Atlanta, but I'm sure they need some booster to find them a job in Oxford. She made it clear when he verbally committed to Clemson that she wanted her sons to play together. Why is that so hard to believe? Antonio Conner is a 4start DB from South Panola High School 30 minutes from Oxford. South Panola is a pipeline to Ole Miss. Treadwell's best friend was already on the team, seems logical they'd like to play together right? And as to the kid holding a star of money...there is absolutely no way kid could come across a few hundred bucks without a rich donor giving it to him right? As to the guy who alluded to Ole Miss' racist past...you're absolutely right, it was a pretty miserable place back in the day. But the racial undertones of a lot of these accusations show that no fan base is without idiots. Ole Miss bears the scars of it's racist past, but integration occurred there a year before it did at USC and the violence there helped plow the road for peaceful integrations throughout the south.

These guys became friends over the course of this recruiting season. Oxford is an amazing place and people fall in love with it. Freeze had success his first season because of the atmospheric change he brought to the program after Nutt. Nkemdiche's mom said Ole Miss was the only team that recruited her son as a person and not as a machine. And another recruit said Ole Miss was the only team that didn't negatively recruit him. Instead of casting baseless accusations at Ole Miss that were very recently being thrown USC's way, how about you take a look at why they had success and try to learn something from it.

You are wrong and ridiculous. Wanna know the difference between when we did it and how ya'll have? Both Holtz and HBC are coaching "legends"... unless Freeze is a coaching legend, than you CANNOT compare.

Many reasons top players have signed with us is due to playng under a HOF coach.. I recall NOONE saying anything about us throwing cash during Spur's years, everyone (who had a brain) knew that HBC was the main reason (as it should have been).

Ole Miss was a dumpster fire, and Freeze is not some established future HOF legend.. many have reason to question and they should. Hell even having Eli Manning didn't land them a class remotely close to this.. flags should be raised.

Plus, We landed one or two 5 stars in our best years.. OLe miss landed the best players at 3/4 different positions, unheard of for a 7 win team that hasn't won a championship since before we did......

But I'm glad, because ya'll kept them away from ugay, UF, Bama, clemsux, etc... much rather them be at ole miss, where we won't be competing against them for the SEC!
