When I am traveling down in Goose Creek I usually go to Sticky Fingers or Sticky Bones on Rivers Hwy or Hwy 52. It is not what I am use to back home, but it is OK for a large franchise place. I usually get a combo plate and it is good. I also go to Melvin's Bar-B-Que (Brother of Maurice in Columbia) and his Bar-B-Que is a whole lot better than Maurice's to me. That's about the height of my Bar-B-Que experience in the Low Country as I usually eat all the fresh seafood that does not eat me first.
I don't know if you can go on the scbarbquewebsite and see if they have a list of good places to go????? Good luck and pig out for me! ![]() |

there are a number of reviews on that site, and they are all very good. I enjoyed the Q there when I went. Coaching buddy of mine is the family that owns it. They're actually relatives of Maurice's in Columbia, but their Q is MUCH better. |

If you're looking for a buffet, Kelly's isn't far away from Joe B's. The Q at Kelley's is ok, nothing special, but the rest of the buffet has some very good sides, fried chicken, cracklin, and usually either brisket, fried catfish, or ribs. I'm not wild about their pork bbq, it isn't bad drowned in sauce, but when I go there it's more for the rest of the buffet. |
