...have a 2001 Chrysler Sebring...back window is coming loose after years of wear...have taken it to a couple of places and they say if they had got to it sooner, they might could have repaired it...now, since it has come loose across most of bottom, I can only replace the top (would run ~$900-$950)...really would not mind doing that, because car has ran pretty well - knock on wood - w/ no major mechanical / transmission, etc. problems plus it is paid for...I've seen a few sites where I can order top myself and the places I've been to say that may save me a few hundred dollars...just wondering if that would be worth it, since the garages would only guarantee / warranty the labor then and not the product (the new top), too...as I said earlier, I really would like to keep the car since this is first really major issue I've had w/ it...although car has ~110,000 miles on it and who knows how much more life...thanx for any input guys and I'll hang up and listen...RMO III

If you think the car will last another couple of years, and you enjoy driving it, get the new top and installation as a package so it's warranted by one source.
