Since you here are like my second family, I felt I should share this.


My family had to put down our Boston Terrier, Willie, today. He was a great dog. He had a partially collapsed trachea (something like that) and had to be put down. I thought I was ok while in the room and was only crying a little, but I felt like my heart stopped when they gave him the shot, I completely broke down and had to step out as he drifted away. I couldn't watch it.

It's been a long day, and I'm not even to lunch yet. Even if all dogs don't go to heaven, I know Willie is up there right now.

Nothing sucks like having to put a family member down.. I've had to do it numerous times through the years, most recently this past March. All I can say is hang in there. Time will heal your hurt.

It's sucks man. Joy, my dog, four years ago was hit by a car walked back to our house. we had to take her to the hospital and she had to be put down. i didnt know about it until after it happend. im still not over it, ive always thought that if i was there it wouldnt have happend.

Points to yall when I get back to the computer. I got home before heading back to work and sat on the bed. My huge dog must know something because he's usually wild when I get home. Today, he slowly got on the bed and lied down leaning on me and just looked at me.

I'm so sorry to hear about this andrew! I love dogs so much...i know how sad and tough it is...i've been through it many times with many of those pets in my lap and tears strolling down my face...

Prayers for you man. I had to put my dog down in July, hardest thing I have ever done. The Yancey posted this when I started a thread about it.

I will leave you with a summation attorney George Graham Vest made in a wrongful death case involving a dog in 1830. He says it far better than I can. BTW, he won the case.

I love my dogs too man. They're pretty much my kids until my real one is born, but they're still gonna be family. Sorry to hear about Willie.

Don't feel bad about crying either dude. My dad is the manliest man you will ever meet. He was awarded a silver star for dragging 17 of his soldiers across a river while 4 of them were already dead. He did this with 4 bullets in his leg and the VC trying to mow him down the whole way.

When our little chihuahua Tippy died he built a casket for him out of some leftover lumber and cried the entire time. It sucks losing a dog like that.
