I think if the gamecocks would of had a bye week this year, we could won the Tenn game i think.. and would have been a better game against bama, maybe even a win.. i knew we would of had a good team but i was worried about not having a bu week.. i beleive our boys are more then just a good team but you need a brake for a week to get over the bumps and bruises..

This board is for fans, not players. The only time we should ALWAYS back them up is at the game, something the fan culture around here doesn't understand. I just went to a Wisconsin football game, their crowd, although smaller, was great even in cold wind. And their student section is 5 times better.

We can bash players all we want on a discussion board, "backing" them means nothing since they don't/shouldn't read this stuff.

well guess what...their are players that read this board...it's already been stated...and when I say back the players...i mean speak positive and go out there and support them...both ways...

Excellant post! Why is it our bye week is next to the last game? Is it because of the SC State game? The pressure from Assembly & Gervais to play in-state teams? Why not have 2 off weeks, like so cal & Penn State? Or do like florida, play an fcs team before fsu?

Glad to hear Akeem cowboy-ing up, these young men need to realize just how good they have it and a hug opportunity to turn things areound here @ Carolina. The WR's need to step up Saturday, but the W or L depends on the big uglies both OL & DL.

i don't know the reasoning in the bye week falling on the week before the last game, but i do know next year we have a bye week in October and we play Troy before the Clemson game...the coaches are working on rearranging the schedules from what i've heard...we'll see what happens in the future
