Eye gouge in FSU-Clemson

if you're talking about #18 at the 5 second mark or so, that's not NEAR the same at Spikes.

this was a fumble recovery, frantic movement, seemed incidental, didn't last more than half a second. if anything it's more of a facemask.

Spikes' situation had a guy that was down by contact, he reached into the guy's facemask for a few seconds, in and out of the facemask, digging around.

No he isn't.......look at number 40 on clemson's team a little to the left of where the ball is fumbled/recovered. VERY similar to Spikes I might say....

easy to miss though

Yeah, I saw this the other night when the game was on. He's pullling the guys head back so he can't see the ball. Pretty dirty move if you ask me.

oh ok, yeah i totally missed that.

that was a little ridiculous. looked more like he was trying to snap his neck backward. and the fact that he got up and was talking trash, that's ridiculous. people like this shouldn't be allowed in football without punishment. you can't say this is football, because that is beyond football.

Was that guy for FSU wearing a face shield? I think he was and it looked like that was the only reason that the guy didn't get at his eyes and ended up pulling the helmet.

I can't tell, but I don't think it matters because it doesn't look like he was going for the eye gouge. The Spikes eye gouge was bad. This on the other hand..looks no different than what happens on every play. It doesn't even look dirty to me.

LOL, y'all are ridiculous. I hate Clemson just as much as the next Gamecock, but all #40 is doing is grabbing the closest thing he can (his head) to prevent the FSU player from trying to recover the fumble. Watch it again. I've seen it 5 times now and this is an everyday play.

OBVIOUSLY, the folks who are crying about this and whined about Spikes have NEVER played football. I assure you that "eye poking" is nothing compared to what goes on unseen in a pile. Guys have had other players try and break their fingers or hand. Players are often bitten. Sometimes get their jewels "accidentally" squeezed. Get punched if another guy can pull his fist back enough. It's football people. It's physical, it's rough and very often dirty. If you truly believe Carolina players don't do it, just like every other schools players do, then you are delusional. If it's too much for you PC loving skirt wearers to stomach, perhaps you should start watching soccer. JMO

Bo im sorry but i think this one was worse than spikes, it was much more violent, him holding up the dudes helmet and gauging at the same time, i know it happens all the time, but not of this nature, 40 is dirty and should be suspended for it
