Oh man there's some good ones in that list.

The Federalist Papers should be read by every American....so eye opening regarding the formation of the Constitution.

I would also add The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne. That was one of the first books that truly captivated me.

I agree with everything on that list and I would liek to see their top 200 books on there...The Hobbit is one, yet the LotR is not?

Hatchet but no Brian's Winter?
Island of Dr. Moreau but no Journey to the Center of the Earth?

No Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls?

id add many many to that list but definitely a great place to start for a man's library!

Actually a lot of the books that are listed are good for anyone not just men. I have read a good many of those books.

I guess I'm doing OK......I have 39 of those in my library.....including everything John Steinbeck published... somebody mentioned Federalist Papers; I never have read that, but always intended to....maybe I'll make an extra effort to do that next year.

I would also recommend the Anti-Federalist just to have contrasting point of views. I found it a bit more interesting when I read the anti-federalist's point of views.
