SEC Ticket Info Email

I just got the following information in an email from the Gamecock Club:

The Gamecocks compete against the Auburn Tigers for their first SEC Football Championship title at 4 p.m. this Saturday, December 4, in Atlanta.

The South Carolina Athletics Ticket Office received an overwhelming number of requests for tickets to the SEC Championship game. Approximately 60% of all Gamecock Club members submitted requests for a total of about 20,000 tickets. The high demand is a testament to the enthusiasm of Gamecock fans and is surely something of which to be proud.

After all applications were processed, the minimum Gamecock Club point total to receive tickets was 181.5 points. Of the Gamecock Club members who requested tickets, 55% were able to acquire them. The University was allotted 15,900 tickets to the SEC Championship game and 90% of those tickets went to Gamecock Club members and University faculty, staff, and students.

This got me thinking...

About 20,000 tickets were requested by GCC members. 55% of those tickets requested were awarded, which equals 11,000 tickets. "The University was allotted 15,900 tickets to the SEC Championship game and 90% of those (14,310) tickets went to Gamecock Club members and University faculty, staff, and students." That means 3,310 tickets went to University faculty, staff, and students. However there are 1,590 tickets unaccounted for. Where did they go? Who gets those tickets?

I'm not upset or anything. I have my ticket for the game in hand. I AM curious to know how I've been giving for 20 years and am stuck in the end zone, but on that point I digress. That's not my question here. There just seems to be an awful lot of tickets unaccounted for and I'm curious to know where they go.
