I was watching some of the Elite 11 and those guys acted like Notre Dame's QB commit is going to win them a BCS NC his freshman season.

I think Golson is too small to be a good D-1 QB, he's got a good arm but he's not fast enough to really elude a rush and too small to be able to handle the wear and tear of playing every week in college... unless maybe you play Notre Dame's schedule so maybe I'm completely wrong...

He actually tweeted a picture of a letter stating that he is in consideration for the US Army All-American Game

Is that the same as receiving an invite?

Yep. That's why his tweet said that he was praying. He is hoping to be selected. He's just got the paper that says he is being considered.
