I dont like this. I understand making the Post-Season a bigger deal, and that weeding out teams that *barely* managed to qualify would make the remaining games a little more important. My beef is how this stifles those borderline teams. A Bowlgame is an opportunity to get national air-time (which helps with recruiting) and offers up a few extra weeks of practice for any team that makes it. Those few weeks of practice make a pretty big deal, and stacked over a handful of seasons, can help a team get to the "next" level. |

The whole bowl game system needs to be changed.
Have a BCS Championship playoff senario and the rest of the winning teams go to bowl games. Makes perfect sense to me. |

I'd rather see a 6-6 Tennessee vs 6-6 Maryland than an 8-4 UNLV vs 8-4 La Tech bowl during the holiday season .. more football not less IMO

I don't think I could stomach watching Tenn vs. Maryland, even if it were for the BCS Championship. Unless I put a wager on it.

Does it really hurt anything if there are 30 bowls intead of 20. As long as the TV money justifies the trip, then why not.

Much more money would be involved if the games had more importance. Who cares who wins the Alamo/ Humanitarian bowl, unless you were a fan of one of the teams involved? Make the same game a playoff and you would have a sell-out with millions more watching at home.

A playoff is the worst thing that could happen to to cfb. The BCS is fine. Just get rid of the automatic qualifiers. The top ten teams should go to BCS bowls. And problem solved.

And I have to disagree about the TV money for play-off games in mid to late December. |

No worries. Our 6-6 days are gone.

Also How boring is the nfl regular season? That's what would happen to cfb. They playoff is the regular season. Win your games and your in. Slip up and lose one. That's on you. |

Works fine for FCS and lower teams. A simple 4-6 team playoff would be so simple and in the end you'd have a true champion just like all other major sports.

Actually thinking about a top four seed playoff isn't that bad. But I still rather just have the BCS and the top ten teams gets gets BCS bowls. So simple

You are so wrong it is laughable. Just look at clemson that made a BCS bowl and we didn't. There are to many things to even mention about how wrong the BCS system really is. Voting should never come into play determining a national championship. Play the games on the field.

Conferences already have ties into bowls. Make all conferences play a championship game. Play that game under the guise of an already popular bowl name the first week of December (sec = peach bowl, pac ten = ftd rose, ohio state = emerald nut bowl, etc...) After the ncaa and tv has drained the sponsorship dollars and maintained the storied history of these bowls, invite the 8 conference champs (sec, big10, pac10, big12, acc, wac, mac, east) to play regionally in the 2nd week of december (4 games), 2 games January 1, championship the 2nd week of January (as it already stands).

The NFL Regular season isn't boring.
