The Top 10 Most Ridiculous Video Game Weapons

Video games have always had their fair share of crazy ridiculousness. It’s what makes games so intriguing. Without it, they would no longer be games. Would first person shooters be fun if on the first level you got shot in the foot and had to hobble around for the rest of the level? No. Instant healing and invincibility please! Would racing games be fun if they actually required you to understand everything there is to know about torque or aerodynamics? Of course not. Just hop in this $200,000 car and run it into that other $200,000 car at 200 mph. That’s where the fun is. Embrace the ridiculousness gamers!

Throughout my years of playing, I have found myself in control of quite a few crazy, ridiculous weapons. Here is my list of the top ten most memorable:

Just reading this. I swear I shot a hit in the face with at least 3 bullets, but he stabbed me and killed me.

I dont understand why the knife is so powerful? It is just stupid.

But I think the throwing hatchets in cod should be number one. The dumbest thing ever put in a game. A steel hatchet can bounce around like a bouncy ball and neck your toe and you die.

Why put that into a game?

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is one of the best and most unique games I've ever played. Definitely worth a look by anyone who likes video games at all.

Knives were pretty OP in CSS as well! But my personal fav was in Zombie Island the chainsaw bat! Just looked sick....Or the electrified machete! LOVE IT!

Sniper rifles in all COD games are more bs than the knives. Quickscoping is about as stupid a concept as lunging at a guy with a knife....closely followed by drops shots, but atleast that's more strategy than straight up taking advantage of auto-aim...

Yea quick scoping at close range one shot one kill! On the PC if you have a great computer and great internet connection you are unstoppable doing this!

In all seriousness, i really like the right up for number 5 (blitzball). Wakka is not even the best blitzballer in the party (tidus) but apparently he can throw it hard enough to reach 9999 damage on this guy:

I mean seriously that and the Final stand/Martyrdom-C4 crap always keeps the franchise from being Awesome in my opinion. How in the hell do you shoot a Barrett .50 with one hand lying on your back ( oh and reload with one hand while we are at it). If you can't get a kill by any other means, then maybe FPS aren't for you. Either that or f*****g practice. geeezz.

Tomahawks are awesome! I agree about the hitting you anywhere and dying. But they are so much fun to use. I won a FFA match using nothing but hawks. 25 kills then time limit lol
