I honestly hope he does. To me man it just seem's like there is to much run first mentality with him. By next year we will be able to tell for sure. I have faith that Spurrier can get him ready.

He just doesn't do the basics well enough. Tyler Bray came out last season for the first time and lit it up. Wilson is starting this seaon after Mallett last year, and look at him. McCarron is starting for the first time and look at him. These are just a couple of examples. Connor just doesn't have those abilities.

That's what ive been trying to say. Connor isnt like them. He probably never will be. Those guys are legit passer's. Will beat you with their arm any Saturday. Shaw will beat you with his legs.

Those are also different passers you are comparing him to.

Those are more traditional drop back passers that will be looked at by NFL teams, Connor does not have the same passing ability and talent as them, but he brings more athletic ability.

You do realize that those guys you named have been playing QB for their whole lives right? Shaw has had a combined 1 1/2 years of game experience at the position. Yet he's still doing well. Or even "average" as you might say, is still pretty dang good for a guy with that little experience in the SEC. Interesting how you turn a blind eye to that.

Please show me articles or links to this. I don't believe this one bit. Spurrier himself has expressed the exact opposite. I have read the exact opposite as well. What I have read is that he is smart, disciplined, hard-working, and motivated. Plus the big word- coachable. All of those are qualities that it takes to become much better.

Shaw has only been playing QB since he got to USC? Im so confused with your post.

Shaw played his senior year of high school and half of this year. I said game experience. He had a combined 33 pass attempts last year so I don't really count that.

You're confusing Shaw with McEvoy. I think Shaw played QB in hs for 2 years.

I mentioned Garcia because he is a recent QB under the same coach who had the same "problem". Coach got that fixed. Therefore, you can assume that he will *likely* get it fixed with Shaw as well. Sorry for using logic.

Show me proof of who is saying what. I will check it out. And you just admitted that you are basing all your observations off of spring practices. Shaw finally has some game experience and is looking better.

I was incorrect. However, he wasn't a full-time QB his JR year. He played WR a good deal as well.

Connor has lifted the proverbial four thousand pound elephant off his back. People didn't believe in him after the ECU game and I bet even he was shaken by it. But he has shown the world that he can get the job done and lead this team. Cannot believe there are people who still doubt that he can win the big one. He has made some mistakes but unlike our last quarterback, he learns from his mistakes and gets better. I have no doubt we can beat Clemson this weekend with Connor leading the team. People need to get over the fact that Garcia isn't here and Connor is our qb. I don't think most on this board would have thought we would be 9-2 right now with Connor at the helm. The D didn't play well in the second half of the UK game last year but the offense stopped once Lattti went out in that game. If we have just one drive in the fourth quarter, we win that game so don't throw that all on the D. We didn't "kill" Vandy. It was 14-7 in the 4th quarter. We hit Alshon on a late TD to make it 21-7 but we didn't kill them. They were in it to the end.
