Yeah, I watched that program .... wait for it ....
Damn, I HATED Spurrier back in those days, and I HATED Florida ... but EVERYONE respected them, and did not want to play them. I hope that Spurrier one day we can consistently beat the living hell out of our SEC opponents the way that Florida did, back in the day.

Defenses weren't set up to defend against a pro offense then (except for Fl State!). SOS changed how the game is played in the SEC and teams started developing pass defenses.
The old Fl teams could not score like they did then today in most cases. The best think about the Fl QBs were that they understood defense and how to take advantage of them. Shaw has the tools to become one of the top ones also. |

You read my mind but back then only Florida, Tenn, LSU, Georgia, Ala and Auburn were getting the recruits. Now almost all SEC teams (thanks to 6 BCS titles in a row) are in the mix and next year add (2) more teams. Spurrier will have to keep winning but I think he can get us our share of good SEC type players. As much as I would love to see us start pounding other SEC teams it will be hard to do year in and year out.
