You will after viewing this slideshow however.
Sushi is so popular in the United States, it's almost hard to believe that it wasn't always a part of American culture. But thanks to sushi's introduction in the 1950s, we now enjoy sushi whenever we want -- on an evening out with friends or even for a quick work lunch from the corner deli. But even with sushi's wide availability, many people are confounded by it. It's easy to feel lost in a sushi restaurant, not knowing what all the different types are -- whether it has raw fish or not, and how to even begin to eat it. For the beginner sushi eater, we've put together a glossary of all the popular pieces of sushi, how they're made and what ingredients they usually contain. Then scroll below the slideshow to read more about the basics of sushi. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1353823.html

I'm too nervous to try it, I don't know how my stomach would handle raw fish.

there's a place in Seneca called Sole Grill and Sushi Bar. On Monday nights they do all-you-can-eat sushi for $12.95. 2 rolls at a time, until you say stop. And they are absolutely delicious.

Your stomach should handle it just fine. In fact, some studies say that over time sushi is actually good for your digestive tract. Also, almost all sushi comes with a few slices of ginger, which does better than some medicines at settling down your stomach. So eat your fish, then chew some ginger, and no worries!

For anyone who lives in Greenville, the best sushi around is at Tampopo, intersection of highway 14 and Pelham. It'd adjoined by a Japanese food store. Both are owned by Japanese families - unbelievably rare; I can't even find that in Chicago. My friend's father, head of the Japanese department at Furman and a Japanese native, goes there all the time.
I'm still looking for a good place in Chicago. |

![]() ![]() Appreciate it man. I did the "Puss and Boots" one for Christmas '10 and just never took it off. I found the Sandusky one a little while back and rolled when I saw it. Couldn't resist.

If it is your first time trying sushi go to a highly recommended place and try different types see whatu like . Not all sushi places are good and a bad experience can ruin sushi for u.
