as i'm rewatching the season, i am left wondering which guy played better, shaq wilson or rodney palk? both had their moments, but did either of them distinguish them self from the other?

Eh I think Shaq was more around the ball. But I think he still was holding out on that injury.

there were many stints where it looked like palk was the more aggressive of the two. but they seemed very similar through out the season.

The D line was so formidable this year that the linebackers didn't get as much recognition as they might have in other years.

I thought Paulk was stouter between the ends, and Shaq seemed better at pursuit sideline to sideline. Paulk did get outside to make some tackles, though. Shaq seemed to have a little more trouble fighting out of blocks, but looked quicker overall.

I seem to recall hearing Rodney's name more, but think that they were pretty equal. The linebacker play overall was much improved versus previous years, though I was often worried about us being stout in the middle. While we were gashed a few times we didn't have any epic breakdowns, and that is due to better play in the middle of the defense. ...my two cents...
Rodney Shaq

yeah, he was on my mind when i made this thread. if he is half of what they say he is, ced will have a break out year in 2012, and be the man in the middle in 13

Shaq, just seemed to be a lot slower and usually a step behind at times. Paulk was stout and played tough.. Bowens I think was the best LB we had.

bowens played well, but i also saw him miss a lot of plays by being out of position. if he could learn to get off blocks better, he would be a monster.
and even though i love shaq and his knowledge of the scheme, i would really like to see cooper take the mike position, and make it his own.
