No problem at all bro. My thing is competing for your country in the Olympics and FIBA should be a greater honor than playing in a meaningless All Star Game. Unless you are injured why wouldn't you want to go compete?

Olympics need to go back to Amateur athletes. Our best college players would still smoke em.

I'm sorry also, I love my country more than anything, to the point where, yes I'd pull for Clemson over the Taliban.

But the Olympics aren't about "playing for your country" it's about every player spreading his brand to other countries.

Just look at the 92 dream team. After Jordan won he draped the flag over his jersey to hide the Rebok logo because he's a Nike guy.

It's really all a mockery to the whole country pride thing. Let's get us back to playing college kids (or for other countries, them playing u-21 players that don't get paid to play sports legally... I say legally because you know we'd be sending college guys that are getting paid Ahaha)

Heck, I'd rather Wade NOT play. He's still a great player, but I can think of quite a few younger guards to take his place. USA just needs Lebron, Durant, Dwight, and a few others.

iono if i'd take this crop of collegians vs foreign pros, but ive seen some vocal pundits blame john thompson for the failure to win at seoul in 1988. a focused group of non pros from 92 probably would have won. shaq, webber, hill, laettner, p.hardaway, hurley. however i wouldnt take back the dream team experience of seeing everyone together, and bird for the final time.

How come all those years we had to play college players, while the rest of the world is using players that played in pro international leagues
