Orlando will be dumber then Cleveland if they don't trade Dwight. It'll be Brooklyn or LAL. They can't wait either. The longer they wait, the more likely the other team will just wait for Howard to be a FA and keep whoever they want instead of trading.

The Brooklyn Nets' persistent efforts to land Magic center Dwight Howard are getting close to paying off, according to sources close to the process.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Nets and Magic are cautiously optimistic that the Cavaliers and Clippers will help them facilitate a four-way trade that lands Howard in Brooklyn.

Mike Hill and Michael Smith share their thoughts on the latest trade rumors involving Dwight Howard and Ray Allen's move from Boston to Miami.

According to sources the Nets would receive Howard, Jason Richardson, Chris Duhon and Earl Clark in the proposed deal. The Magic would get Brook Lopez, Luke Walton, Damion James, Shelden Williams, Armon Johnson and three first-round picks -- two from the Nets and a lottery protected first from the Clippers. The Cavs would get Kris Humphries, Quentin Richardson, Sundiata Gaines, a first round pick from the Nets and three million in cash. The Clippers would receive MarShon Brooks.

As things stand right now neither LAL or Brooklyn have the ability to acquire Dwight in FA so they have to trade for him. Orlando should trade him but if they don't at least they get to give Dwight a screw you on the way out.

They have as much time to make room for him as they do to trade for him. How is holding on to him and getting nothing in exchange screwing Howard? At least he's made it pretty clear he wants out, unlike Lebron who never told Cleveland much until he was talking to Jim Gray and those kids lol

2 ways it screws him.

1. it is going to be difficult for LAL or Brooklyn to clear that cap space.

2. He can't receive as much money even if 1 of those 2 find a way to sign him without getting dealt there.

It does but they might try to do it just for spite at this point. They definitely can't get what they could have gotten last year for him.

Humphries is a headache, the whole divorce with Kim etc and now he wants a big multi year contract. The Bobcats need scoring why not take a shot on a guy like Lou Williams?

iono, he shook off that distraction to have a very good year. as long as he's not the sole reason the deal is being held up or asking for a near max deal, hes cool with me.
