Probably see something like Florida State use to do. 2 backs, 3 receivers. Ability to go shotgun or I at anytime w/ a no huddle.

We actually did a ton of it when Dimarco was here playing at HBack.

That's what I was thinking. It's not a very uncommon thing to run.

I just know I'm going to feel dumb when this questioned is answered, but who is JD? I have looked up and down the roster, and I'm still confused. I thought maybe you were referring to Clowney, but I've never personally known others to call him, JD. That's not to say they haven't and I'm simply unaware though.

Coach Ward announced that Sharrod Golighty (spur) will sit the first 3 games for academic reasons.

So that means, Golighty makes a few bad marks & sits for 3 games.

On a side note, Sammy Watkins gets busted for Pot & Pills and Dabo hands out nothing. Seems legit to me.....

Brad Lawing has paid his dues...he deserves this chance at coaching some of the elite DL talent. Brad knows his stuff.

There can't be enough said about Coach Lawing. Easily one of the best position coaches around at any position. Really exciting to read what he said about his unit as a whole, the Dixons, Devin, Clowney, and Dukes.

That is going to be a MONSTER unit for us this year.

The Wildcat offense has some option plays in it too. Maybe the coaches are referring to Marcus running out of a Wildcat formation with some of the other speed backs like Shon Carson or Mike Davis. THAT would be fun to watch.

Spurrier likes Ellington there because he could pass well. However, we don't really have the Alshon threat now so a two-headed running attack would be pretty cool.

BTW, does anyone know how we can find podcasts of the shows and listen to the interviews?

have a friend that works sometimes at the museum right by the practice fields... says he has seen conner and the rbs out on the practice fields with 2 rbs sets. practicing different option looks.

I look forward to the fall practice start and the interview clips with the coaches. Lawing is my favorite. It will be interesting to hear from the new LB and RB coach as well, but Lawing is to me the most informative, colorful, and entertaining.

As long as Spurrier is at USC, you probably don't have to worry about the passing game going away. Spurrier has been playing to the teams strength though, and I wouldn't mind it if USC can go 14-0 doing the triple option.

I'm calling for clowney to get 6 or 7 this year. I just think he will be doubled and triple all year long. I say taylor gets 10+ sacks just because that. I'm a clemson fan but i know clowney has the best body and athleticism or anybody's d line i just think everybody else knows that 2. That's why I'm calling taylor or somebody else to get more sacks than they probably should.
