Well if you watch the video carefully, you'll realize the cow adds a little chocolate to the mix at one point.

A little off topic but did you know the reason they make chocolate milk is because some of the milk they get from the cows have blood in it so they can't sell it as white milk so they mix in chocolate to sell it.

My first job out of school was in a dairy bottling plant (Edisto Farms Dairy) and that's not true, we used the same milk for all products. The tanker truck picked it up at the dairy farms and brought it to the plant where it was processed. However when we made chocolate we did mix in the milk that was brought back from the stores with the past due date expired. That's why chocolate would sour quicker.
Green onions were a problem. If a herd got into a pasture and ate any it could ruin a whole load. The tanker drivers had to check that closely.

Well I know at least at some places that is true because I watched a show called modern marvels on the history channel about Dairy and that is what they said on it. Maybe that is what they used to do back in the day?

Yeah, I believe everything I see on the boob tube too.
The farmers milk the cows and store the milk in a tank, the tanker trucks pick it up, more than one farm a day. The truck returns to the plant and pumps the milk into a large vat after samples are taken and run through the lab. Then it's pasteurized and homogenized and bottled or used for other products like ice cream.
And if you lived in Columbia in the 60's you'd know we had the best ice cream in town. There were stores in Five Points, North Main, and Forest Lake. Shoot, they even did home delivery back then.
Not saying that some mom and pop operation couldn't have done that 100 years ago but you presented as fact for the present.
