Right there with you. I'd say him and McFadden were the best college RB's I've seen in my time.

Ricky Williams could have been the best RB to EVER play the game......if he didnt love the weed so much.

Have you seen the 30 for 30 "The Best that Never Was"? Its a fascinating (and rather sad) story of Dupree's life. I'd recommend it if you haven't. (along with "Run Ricky Run" and "Pony Excess") All are relevant to the conversation here.

JMO, he wasn't anything close to the pure RB that McFadden was at Arky. McFadden had 4500 yards rushing and Felix only had 2900 (both played 3 years). Comparing Felix Jones and CJ Spiller in college would be a decent argument though.

barry sanders, doesnt matter to me that he started one of his 3 years. he had an nfl hall of famer in front of him those first two years, he was still super productive in his touches and when he got his chance as a starter he put together the best rushing season in ncaa history if not best season period regardless of position.
not discounting the argument of guys who were all americans multiple years because thats valid, but i dont think anyone has come close to barry's heisman season. |

Best of all time? No. I can easily think of 5 guys I would take over him. That's not to say that he's #6, just that without hesitation I can name 5.

Archie Griffen was pretty great, but just for hands-down, freak of nature I have to go with Bo Jackson.

I think Bo Jackson was the guy, and Walker was just on the team. Not to say Walker isn't a close second.

I always choose Dickerson in this debate. Take away the baggage in college and the NFL and at his peak he was unstoppable.
