Better guitar solo: Steely Dan or Gerry Rafferty?

Here's 2 short ones, which is the better guitar solo?

1. FM - Steely Dan (starts at 3:02). This is one of the only late-era Steely Dan songs with Becker actually soloing because he never knew how to play the solos the way he wanted it, so he actually just got someone else to do it.

Walter Becker is phenomenal on the guitar! He and Donal Fagan are the best songwriting duo since Lennon and McCartney... IMHO.

Rikki Don't Lose That Number had one of the best solos I've ever heard, and better than the one in FM. That being said, it wasn't Becker but 'Skunk' Baxley from the Doobie Brothers who played it.

This one is a blowout

I heard "FM" ended up being remixed and the guitar part REMOVED and replaced by a sax solo because apparently Becker didn't like what he did. Those dudes were mega-perfectionists

Two FANTASTIC tunes but Becker's is just velvet. I love SD and have listened to that song a million times but, when I stripped it down to the solo, that's just luscious.

Just to watch those guys sit there at the board and isolate the incredible number of tracks they have going on is amazing.
