2014 LB Shaun Hamilton (6-1 230) of Montgomery, AL plans to attend a junior day at either USC or Clemson this weekend. He remains undecided on the destination. "I'll probably know by Thursday," said Hamilton. Both schools have offered along with Auburn, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida State, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Memphis, Louisiana-Lafayette, Kentucky and Duke among others. He attended Alabama's junior day and plans to go to Auburn and Florida after his trip to the Palmetto State. "I've been to Clemson twice and built a good relationship with the coaches," he said. "It's a good program that is on the rise." Hamilton has heard from the Gamecocks and Tigers that early playing time is very possible. "Both programs think that I can come in and contribute immediately, " As for USC he said, "They play in the SEC and have a great defense. I think they are a good program that is very underrated." Hamilton will graduate early and plans to enroll next January. He does not have any favorites.

LB Shaun Hamilton of Montgomery, AL was back at Clemson Saturday for junior day and had another positive experience. "It went real good," Hamilton said. "I enjoyed spending time with the coaches and seeing some new things I hadn't seen at Clemson before. I liked walking down The Hill and seeing Howard's Rock." Hamilton said he talked mostly with defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Brent Venables. "They were telling me how badly they want me and that I would be a priority for Clemson," Hamilton said. USC recently offered Hamilton and he has interest in the Gamecocks as well. He has talked to USC coaches Grady Brown and Lorenzo Ward and he plans to visit. Michigan State offered him Friday and he also has offers from Auburn, Miami, Tennessee, Florida State, Georgia Tech, UCLA and Texas Tech. Hamilton visited Auburn Friday before coming to Clemson. Right now he does not have favorites nor a decision timetable.

Also keep an eye on Shaun Dion Hamilton. Hamilton is a heat-seeking missile from his linebacker spot. The Rivals250 member is a tackling machine and is always around the ball. He has a great motor to go with solid instincts and toughness. The Montgomery, Ala., product isn't the tallest, but that doesn't stop him from making plays.

A four-star inside backer who will pick his college this week (Alabama, Auburn Tennessee), Hamilton is a big, physical prospect that also moves well on his feet and can cover a lot of ground. On Saturday, Hamilton excelled during blocking drills, and in one-on-ones with the running backs displayed nice instincts and the ability to change direction well.

*Shaun Hamilton, a four-star inside linebacker from Montgomery (Ala.) Carver, is announcing his commitment on Wednesday. It's between Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee, he said. Hamilton visited Alabama on Tuesday and Auburn on Friday. He plans to sit down with his parents and hammer out his decision, but said he feels like he has an idea which school he will pick.
