Junior LB Larenz Bryant (6-1 210) of Charlotte already holds an offer from USC and is drawing strong interest from Clemson. Bryant lived on John’s Island until moving to Charlotte at the age of seven, so he has some affection for the Gamecocks and Tigers. “I watched South Carolina a lot,” he said. He plans to attend the Clemson-USC game next month. He’s not been to any games so far this season but also wants to get to a Georgia game. Bryant also has offers from Illinois, NC State, Virginia and Duke. He’s also hearing from Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State, Notre Dame, Florida, Purdue, Vanderbilt, North Carolina and Georgia Tech. Bryant does not have a favorite but has a top four of USC, Clemson, Georgia and Illinois. The Illini were the first to offer followed by USC. As a sophomore Bryant made 56 tackles with 16 for loss.

Junior LB Larenz Bryant (6-1 210) of Charlotte took in his first college football game this Saturday. It was the USC-Clemson game in Columbia. The Charleston native enjoyed the atmosphere. "It was pretty cool to see all the rituals," Bryant said. "Listening to the fans, the alma mater...it was pretty cool." Bryant has offers from USC, Clemson, North Carolina, NC State, East Carolina and Illinois with interest coming from Notre Dame, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Nebraska, Penn State and Tennessee among others. Though he does not have any favorites, he does like Clemson and USC. "I'm from South Carolina so I like them both," he said. "I grew up a Carolina fan and they have my major. They're one of the top schools in the country in Communications. One of the Clemson coaches ( Danny Pearman) came and saw me and he made a real good impression on me. I haven't seen their campus yet but I want to. Both schools are close to home." As a junior, Bryant had 69 tackles and three interceptions for scores. He added 1300 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns on offense. All schools are even for his services.

He is hearing from Alabama, Notre Dame, Oregon, Nebraska, Stanford and Penn State among others. Bryant attended two camps at USC this summer, the showcase camp and a one-day camp, liking what he saw. "They have really nice facilities," Bryant said. "All of the coaches greeted me so they're really cool." He has not visited Clemson but plans to do so very soon. "I'm going to go to their junior day," he said. "Coach (Danny) Pearman visits my school all of the time so I've heard a lot of good things about them." Other junior days the linebacker plans to attend include Virginia, NC State and Georgia. Bryant does not have any favorites saying, "I haven't really taken many visits to really know who my favorites are." He did express interest in the Tigers and Gamecocks. As a junior he rushed for 1300 yards and 22 touchdowns adding 63 tackles and four interceptions on defense. Bryant is being recruited as a linebacker and is originally from the Lowstate.

Per TBS: Shawn Elliot will be his recruiter. He wants to announce in the summer. Once Elliot builds his relationship with Bryant we will catch up with UGA and CU. Education is a priority.
I really think that if Elliot goes to work we can land this guy.

"He's super fast at linebacker and running back, and could play either position in college," Lemming said. "He's great in pursuit and has real good instincts. He's a major talent."

LB Larenz Bryant of Charlotte made an unofficial visit to Clemson Monday to watch the Tigers in spring practice. Bryant has been to Clemson multiple times and already had a good feel for the school and football program. "It went well," Bryant said. "I got to see the academic side." Bryant also is a standout on offense as a running back and receiver, but he said he's being recruited for linebacker, and Clemson is very interested. "They call and send me letters every week," Bryant said. He ha a top three of Clemson, Georgia and Florida in no order. He has no other visits planned right now, and the Clemson visit was his first of the spring. Bryant said he also has interest in USC and talked with recruiter Shawn Elliott earlier in the week.
