I've only watched the 1st video, but for someone with a relatively slight build (5'11, 155 lbs) he looks like a strong guy.

Fights for the ball well, and has great speed. It looked like none of the DB's could stay with him. And that's all with what looks like an awful QB, very few of the passes to him led him well, he had a lot behind him he had to wait on.

Maybe Botkin has some ties down in Texas. That's the only thing I can think of.

According to TBS, they offered a handful of Texas kids to just to see if any of them stick. No bites so far but that can change once schools let out for Summer and these kids can focus more time on visits/camps.

Mount Pleasant (Texas) receiver KD Cannon has been one of the hottest prospects in the 2014 class with offers coming in from across the country. The pile has been building since the end of his sophomore football season and he has been busy on the road visiting college campuses this spring.

Cannon has enjoyed his visits to Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Texas and likes what he sees from their offenses. He is not naming favorites at this time and does not plan on making a commitment in the near future. What he does know is that he is looking for a place with solid academics and a strong recent history of producing successful receivers.

Cannon says to look for his decision to come after his senior season. In the meantime, he does have plans to take some summer visits to a few college programs.

Cannon also received an invitation to the Rivals Five-Star Challenge later this summer.

Mount Pleasant (Texas) receiver Kd Cannon is the best that Texas has to offer in the Class of 2014. He has the ability to make the big play and put up sick numbers as a junior. He was the go to player on his offense and the stats backed it up. Elite prospect, who is rated in the Top 50 overall prospects nationally

The Dallas RCS was kind of a tough day for Rivals100 receiver KD Cannon, but he made the catch of the event and showed his speed, burst, and his acrobatic ability at times throughout the day. Cannon continues to add offers to his long list of college options and is keeping an open mind with the recruiting process.
