USC quarterbacks coach GA Mangus has taken care of his quarterback for the 2013 class and is starting to dig around for his 2014 targets. One could be Bo Baldwin (6-5 231) of South Aiken. Mangus was at the school Monday to check on Baldwin. It was his second trip to the school. “He said he liked him a lot and is very interested,” South Aiken coach Jeremy West said. “He said he’s more athletic than he thought.” Baldwin only played in three and a half games last season due to a broken collarbone. He is being tutored this season by former college assistant coach Ted Cain who joined the staff this spring. West said Baldwin has a lot of potential. “He has deceptive speed and is real poised in the pocket,” he said. “He’s always looking downfield.” Clemson quarterbacks coach Chad Morris also has been in to see Baldwin but with a 2014 quarterback commitment already stocked away, West is not sure Clemson will make a strong push. LSU, NC State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Tennessee also have been in to check Baldwin who has not been offered.

So this young man is a Soph, 6'5" and 232lbs? He can't be older than 16...what do they feed these guys?

I love Coach Mangus' way of recruiting QB's. He already has us in the top group for two very, very good 2014 QB prospects.

He only played 3 games last season before breaking his collarbone, but still threw for 737 yards and 8 TDs (!!), and also rushed for 243 yds and 2 more TDs.

Recruiters did not get much of a chance to see South Aiken junior QB Bo Baldwin (6-6 231) in much game action last season. That's because he suffered a season ending broken collarbone in the fourth week. He had thrown for 800 yards and 8 touchdowns and rushed for 263 yards and 2 scores prior to the injury. This summer Baldwin made the camp rounds with stops at USC, Alabama and Tennessee. NC State has invited him to one of their practices August 19th. "He's high on everybodys' board," South Aiken coach Jeremy West said. "Mangus (USC) said he's definitely one of the targets he's looking at." Baldwin also is drawing interest from LSU, Kentucky, North Carolina and Georgia. His coach is expecting offers to start to drop after recruiters scout Baldwin this season.

I heard Bo suffered another tough injury last nite vs RNE. He will be out 4-6 weeks with a broken hand.

Junior QB Bo Baldwin (6-6 228) of South Aiken was in Clemson this weekend for the Tigers home-opener. He is very familiar with the school and has a brother that attends Clemson but says the Tigers are not showing a lot of interest. "They've got a guy in my class already committed so it doesn't look like they're showing much interest in me," Baldwin said. "Their offense is a lot of fun to watch and Tahj Boyd has a lot of good receivers to throw to." Baldwin is hearing from USC, LSU, NC State and Alabama. LSU and NC State seem to be showing the most interest. "They both tell me they could offer me soon," he said. Baldwin has visited USC and attended many games at Williams-Brice. "They like me and I like them," he said of USC. "I love coach (Steve) Spurrier. He is a quarterback guru. So is coach (G.A.) Mangus. And it's also close to home." Baldwin has future visits scheduled to LSU and Alabama. He heads to the Bayou when the Crimson Tide come to town and will be at Alabama for the Ole Miss and Auburn games. Baldwin played in three-and-a-half games as a sophomore before going down with an injury. He threw for 673 yards and eight touchdowns adding 120 yards on the ground. Baldwin has no favorites.

QB Bo Baldwin of South Aiken missed much of his junior season with a broken hand and that may have slowed his recruitment. Baldwin is receiving interest from USC, Georgia, North Carolina, Rutgers, Alabama, LSU and PItt among others. He recently attended a junior day at Georgia February 16th. "I really liked it a lot," said Baldwin. "I got to meet with the coaches. I really like their offense and coach (Mike) Bobo. Georgia would be a good place to go." This spring he plans to attend several spring practices including USC and North Carolina. "I may go to (USC's) spring game," he added. His trip to UNC will not be his first. "I like the school," said Baldwin. "They're similar to Georgia in that I like their offense and the new coaches." Baldwin will participate in an Under Armour combine in Charlotte next month and says his hand doing well. He does not have any favorites.

The kid has had two big injurys the last two years. I want baker over him. I have watched him play alot. However, his brother is going to Clemsux right now. Take it from me when I say, he will be LSU or Tenn bound.

It'll be interesting to hear how he does in Charlotte. That combine usually attracts good QB talent so it'll be a good field to see how he stacks up. He goes to my alma mater, so I'm rooting for the guy. I doubt USC ever goes in on him though. If he has a good camp circuit this Summer, I could see him getting an ACC offer and going there. I think that is best case.

He could be 17. Depends when his birthday is and he could have been held back before his freshman year. (To get bigger, develop his skill set, things like that)
