Going to be EPIC. I just placed my preorder at amazon.com. Exclusive steelbook case if you preorder from amazon, gamestop or best buy. I never give my money to gamestop and I've gotten used to ordering games online so amazon gets my money yet again. I think if you go to Gamestop or Best Buy and preorder, they give you the steelbook case right away. If amazon, you get when the game ships in October. I can wait for it.

get on it dude, the first one is the worst and i freaking loved it, "2", "Brotherhood", and "Revelations" are going to blow your mind, in terms of the gameplay improvements (faster pace, smoother and far less repetitive) and how crazy the story gets.

Yeah, I think they've had the American Revolution in mind since the first one, should be NUTS.

also interested in how thing are going to work with the dramatic increase in technology from the Renaissance era to the Revolution.

and which historical figures are going to be used and for which side... assuming it'll be largely based in Boston and/or Philadelphia, there are a ton of people to use... the Adams cousins, Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, Revere.... tons of people we have actually know a lot about.

It was great (the gameplay and Constantinople were incredible), but I thought the story was a slight letdown. I guess it was meant to give a fitting send-off to Altair and Ezio so we could start fresh, which is fair.



The history geek/educator in me is also fascinated by how the game will capture the philosophy and emotions of the era... I thought they did a fabulous job with the 3rd Crusade, the Renaissance, and the rise of the Turks. It will be interesting to see how a bunch of Canadians and Europeans try to recreate a distinctly American, world-changing event. And also how both European and American players react to playing through the era... much like reading a first-person, historical novel. If done well, this could be the most educational and eye-opening game of the series to date.

I still haven't played Revelations yet. I started playing 2 again last night, and I'm probably gonna replay Brotherhood and then get Revelations. Good thing I still have plenty of time to do this.

Also according to what I have read AC3 is gonna be the biggest game out of all three.

Biggest as in longest storyline? There have been 5 games thus far, but only two storylines.

This is one of my 5 favorite game series. I too enjoy the history aspect of the games. Trailers look awesome. Plus they are throwing in some open air woods to jump around in and hunt animals?

You should really play AC2, Brotherhood, and Revelations before 3 comes out.
