Shinedown

Saw Shinedown (again) at the Uproar Festival in Simpsonville last night. Absolutely great show, as Shinedown always puts on a heck of a show. They even had pyro and fireworks last night and really rocked the place.

Also, the best part of the night was their bassist, Eric Bass, was sporting a Carolina Gamecock's tank top! For those who may now know, Bass was born and raised in Charleston, and is a huge Gamecock fan. He and Zack Myers (the guitarist from Shinedown) even went to the Carolina-clemson baseball game in Charleston this year and tweeted pictures throughout the game. So last night, he pulled out the Gamecock shirt for the show, which Brent Smith even commented on in between two songs. Its pretty awesome when my favorite band represents my favorite team!

Nice!! I had no idea about the bass player being from Charleston or anything like that. Pretty cool to find that out

It's weird because the first time I ever saw them was during the St. Pat's in Five Points in like 03. Very small at the time, playing for about 500 people. Since then, the wife and I have seen them at the HOB in Myrtle Beach, the Handlebar in Greenville (awesome small venue by the way,) 2 years ago at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Charlotte, and this last night in Simpsonville. They keep getting bigger and better each time. Great band.

Ugh I hate that band. Shinedown and nickel back are pretty mich the same band to me.

No, not even close. Shinedown and Seether do alright. I like how Shinedown does a show in the area a couple times a year.

Oh yeahhhh. That she other band. Seether. Those three all sound the same. I wouldn't consider anything that is played on 93.5 rock.

Meh...I still think "leave a whisper" was a good overall album. Them and nickleback aren't the same although I can't listen either of them nowadays.

They put on a great show last night, but Godsmack put them to shame. They definitely stole the concert.

Old thread I know.

But figured the OP might get a kick out of this, but "Bully" is in our music and has been played several times at Football games.

Last we played it was at the Men's Basketball game on Wednesday.

I play sousa (tuba) so I really get in to with the awesome bass riff we've got.
