Does anyone have experience with it?
I stream a ton of movies...sometimes Netflix (which I can do through my PS3). But, I also use other web resources (that don't have an "app" and may or may not even be legal) to watch other films and TV shows. How is the streaming audio/video quality? Is it only compatible with HDMI ports? In your opinion, is it a worthy purchase? Finally, I edit a TON of video. I am a TV producer and also an independent filmmaker. Has anyone successfully used the device to allow a TV to wirelessly display your editing canvas in FCP or Adobe Premiere? Thanks for the help and advice, points will be given (as always).

I certainly agree that the Roku is more attractive entertainment-wise. My main interest is the ability to wirelessly "sling" my MacBook screen to my huge azz TV and edit video, honestly.
Does Roku offer any capability in that regard? Yancey, I have to spread rep and come back to you...I'll get you though.

Airplay works well to mirror display on tv from laptop or iMac, as long as they are 2011 or newer.

Thank you all for the feedback and suggestions. I just found out I have a friend who has it...so I'm going to get to know the system a bit better personally.
Again, thanks! Rep is going out.
