We've had several threads in the past but thought we needed one more.
As a gift to myself every year I usually buy a firearm of some type. Just purchased the Benelli Vinci. It looks great and handles well. If you're not familiar with them, the Vinci disassembles in seconds for easy cleaning with no tools. I think they refer to it as a modular shotgun. Very fast shooter with less recoil than other Benellis. Also considering adding another rifle to the colleciton. I've looked at the Remington R25 which I think is a gun from one of their sister companines built on an AR15 type frame. Also looking at the Tikka T3 Hunter Stainless and Sako A7 in .308, or even another Browning in X Bolt (only have A Bolts now) Thoughts on any of these? What have you added to your collection lately? |

Right now I have my S&W M&P AR-15, planning to add an aim point compm4s, same as on my military issue weapon.
Glock 23 gen 4 black upper, earth tone lower Glock 26 gen 4 all black Next weapon: either a mossberg 500 tactical or the Remington 870 tactical. Both good shotguns, tough to decide. I would love to get a LaRue PredatOBR 7.62 but I don't have the nearly 4 grand on hand.

I haven't used any online outlets to purchase firearms yet, I know gunbroker is pretty popular too. I'm looking into them though because I've been looking for a s&w 645. Something about online just makes me nervous.

I started with a Remington/Baikal 12 gauge O/U. I picked up a Sig Mosquito (.22) and a Marlin 60 (.22) to shoot around the property. Last Christmas I got a Mosin Nagant to clean up. I just fired it for the first time this past Thanksgiving and it was a lot of fun. Also picked up a AR-15 stripped lower from Palmetto State Armory over Black Friday and my brother and I will be building them. I'm looking at getting either a receiver or receiver/barrel combo for the M-1 Garand to build as well through the CWP as well.
Also, anyone ever heard anything about Mid Carolina Rifle Club? I'm looking at joining and started another thread about it a day or two ago but it got about 80 looks and no comments, so I figured I'd ask here as well. |

Yep. It's been pretty solid. It broke for a little while (firing pin didn't hit) but it was pretty easy to fix. One of my buddies got one and uses it to hunt with because he doesn't want to mess up his good guns and he's done good with it.

A friend of mine back home has a Kimber, and he loves it. Can't remember which one, but all of em I've ever held are nice as hell. They are easy to customize too.

Yeah, Palmetto State Armory had a few really good looking ones last time I was up there, I don't want one too pretty to where I don't want to shoot it though lol. Might go up there at lunch and take a peak.
