Spring Game Activities:Patrick Davis to perform...

The Gamecock Club will be hosting its annual Kickoff FanFest before and after the annual Garnet & Black Spring Game, to be held Saturday, April 14. The pre-game FanFest activities will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be located in the Gamecock Village at the front of the Farmers Market, across the street from the stadium.

A Gamecock fan favorite, Patrick Davis will hold a free concert from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Farmer's Market amphitheater lawn prior to the game. Davis is an accomplished singer/songwriter from Camden, S.C. who now resides in Nashville, Tenn., writing with nationally-renowned artists such as Darius Rucker, Jewel and Lady Antebellum.

any new news on who, if anyone will play at halftime (or afterwards)? I had heard a rumor that darius rucker was being talked to about it

I was thinking about that today, it would be AWESOME to see Darius play at some point and I think that would help the turnout too.

i'm sure it would, they could prob even get away with charging $10 or so at the gate if there was a concert involved

Yeah, I would have no problem paying that either.. I'm sure they could swing it and he would probably do it if he could.

Dang, I will be on my way to Orlando for a field trip. The sacrifices I make. At least I don't have to pay for anything on the trip for 4 days in Orlando and all the attractions.

He's got a concert that night in Myrtle Beach at the House of Blues that I will be attending after the spring game! Seeing him twice in one day would be awesome!
