With 11 offers already, Randolph will be one of the top prospects in North Florida for the Class of 2014. Despite all of the early attention, Randolph isn't laying back and waiting for schools to come see him. Instead he has hit the road.

Over the summer Randolph camped at Florida twice, participated in 7-on- 7 camps at both Florida State and Georgia, and finally took an unofficial visit to Auburn.

Florida hasn't offered, but according to Randolph the Gators are one of the schools recruiting him the hardest at this time.

"I talk with Coach (Travaris) Robinson from Florida," said Randolph. "Not so much recently because the season is starting and we're both busy, but he says he loves my work ethic and thinks I am a great athlete and I like to compete. He tells me he will work really hard to get me that offer and I am just waiting on that call. That will be a big one because James is committed there and Raphael (Andrades)."

Despite growing up in the heart of Seminole country, Randolph said he grew up watching the Gators.

"I'm not going to lie, I did kind of grow up a Florida fan," laughed Randolph. "I kind of went back and forth. I am more of a fan of teams in Florida, I have two offers from Florida teams and really want that offer from UF."

Even though the recruiting process is still fairly young for the 5-foot-11, 185-pound corner, he did say there are two early standouts.

"Right now I think Florida State and Auburn are sticking out, but that's just because I haven't a visit to South Carolina and don't have that official offer from Florida. Once I hopefully get those out the way it will be easier to narrow things down more."

He also noted with the fall season coming up he plans to take trips to games at Florida State, Auburn, Florida for the game against LSU, and possibly South Carolina.

Class of 2014 DB Kendall Randolph of Tallahassee has offers from USC, Clemson, South Florida, Florida State, Auburn and Arkansas. He is good friends with Clemson LB Travis Blanks and plans to visit the Tigers. "We played back in middle school together and I keep in contact with him," said Randolph. "I like Clemson because they aren't afraid to play young guys. I want to go up and visit." Randolph wants to visit USC as well. "I'm real familiar with how their program has progressed the last few years," he said. "I think that speaks to the relationship coaches have with players. I want to visit there and see if that's the case." Randolph will attend a junior day at Alabama and will visit FSU and Florida this spring. He does not have any favorites but expressed interest in the Gamecocks and Tigers. As a junior he totaled 32 tackles, six interceptions, three defensive touchdowns and three forced fumbles.

DB Kendall Randolph of Tallahassee has a top five of USC, Miami, Florida State, Alabama and Georgia. He has set an unofficial visit to USC for June 21st. “The visit I will take will be to find out more about the program and hang out with the coaches for a day,” Randolph said. “South Carolina was my first official offer. They are just somebody I’ve kept in my mind and I’ve kept in touch with the coaches.” Randolph added he’s in regular contact with recruiter Kurt Botkin. He also will visit Georgia, Alabama, Miami and possibly Stanford. He has no order to his favorites and hopes to make a decision by summer’s end, but he won’t rush it. And Randolph said he won’t be afraid to go away from home for college. “If my best option is going out of state, then I don’t have a problem going there because I’ll always be presented with the time to come home and see my family.” Randolph is being recruited as a corner and had 40 tackles and 7 interceptions last season.

DB Kendall Randolph of Tallahassee is close to making his first trip to USC. He will be on-campus June 21st to take a better look at a school he ranks in his top five. “I talk to coach (Kurt) Botkin quite a bit so I am familiar with their schemes,” said Randolph. “This trip is really to see the school at its atmosphere. I will check out the facilities but I’m more focused on the academics and seeing the campus and the city to see if it’s somewhere that I could live the next four years.” Randolph has a top five of USC, Georgia, Miami, Florida State and Alabama in no order. “The only two schools in my top five that I have not visited are South Carolina and Miami,” he said. “I’ve been to Georgia a couple of times because we just played a 7-on-7 tournament there. It’s a really nice school and I like the area.” Randolph wants to return to Columbia for a football game in the fall but is unsure of an official visit. “I think I’ll see all of the schools I’m looking at this summer so I don’t really know if I have to take all five of my official visits,” said Randolph. He plans to announce on National Signing Day.
