We are heading to Orlando April 2-7th for a cheerleading competition - Ugh! So we are looking for things to do on the 3rd and 4th. On the 5th got free passes to Sea World and my daughter (7 years old) and her friends want Magic Kingdom one day.
So I need help with: 1. Where to get cheapest Disney tickets for one or two day(s). 2. What to do on the other day? 3. Which day is better for kingdom Wed. or Thurs.? 4. Where to eat with the kids and adults-anything besides Mcdonalds, etc. I know there was thread like this on here before and someone that knew alot about the area and the parks. I have looked everywhere and have over looked it or not looking in the right places for the thread. Thanks in advance for the info. |

The day doesnt matter for the park...its crowded regardless. Got back 2 weeks ago from Disney and it was busy every day.

No cheap tix. Your only ones tha way are hot or require time share sales pitches. Avoid.
Kiddies love Legoland. It is on the site of the former Cypress Gardens about 35 minutes out of town. Universal is another big park. I am partial to the KSC space park in Titusville. Tons of wildlife preserves. Beaches galore. Meals outside of the park depend on what you want to spend. You can go cheap with things like Cici's or Golden Corral. You can go ultra luxe at places like Emeril's. Later I will post some links to some dinning discounts for you.

You won't be able to find cheaper tickets to Disney (Florida residents get those). There's gatorland, that's a pretty cool area, lots of gators. Daytona Beach is awesome. Wet N Wild Water Park is a blast. I heard legoland is nice too. I Drive will have SO MANY restaurants. Imagine Gervais Street on mega steroids.

Just wanted to chime in, the words "Cheap" and "Disney world" should never be used in the same sentence. If you could get a group together, you might be able to get a special rate, but you would have to contact Disney about the rate, size of group, etc.

AAA gives a small Disney discount. That is the only legit one I know of.

If the youngsters are into Harry Potter, then Universal Islands of Adventure is a must see. Anyone who likes that series will enjoy the Hogsmeade and Hogwarts castle area of the park. The shops mentioned in the books are all there, however, some of them are just facades.
The food at the 3 Broomsticks is OK, and the young ones may get a kick out of the fact that Moaning Myrtle haunts the same place in the park that she does in the books, although she only speaks. She won't show herself. As for Disney, I would try AAA and see what they can do. If anyone can get a package deal that includes attraction tickets, it's them. I would not trust anyone else. Now if you can stomach a 90 minute sales presentation: http://www.orlandominivacations.com/...FQGCnQodHkIAdQ Last edited by SwampFox; 03-25-2013 at 09:52 PM. |

Current and retired military do too. Plus you can stay on the grounds at Shades of Green for cheap.
