Darryl Reynolds 6-8 PF (2013 Prospect)

Pennsylvania forward Darryl Reynolds made an official visit to check out the Gamecock hoops program earlier this week and came away with USC on top.

Went to same HS as Kobe Bryant.

IMO, easily the most impressive looking player of anyone left on our board. Great touch, athletic, solid fundamentals and seemed to get it done on D as well.

He is a very well spoken young man too - the list of schools interested in him (BC, St Bonaventure, Temple, etc) tells me he's good in the classroom as well. Never a bad thing to have smarts to go with ability...the fewer mental mistakes we make going forward, the better.

Hope we land him, looks like a good one with some size that we desperately need.

After watching the interview with this kid I really hope we get him. He is well spoken, seems intelligent (basketball IQ), and has some skills. I like his answer in the interview when he says everyone is playing their role and that is why the team is doing well... he gets it! Hopefully we can bring him on board.

Ill take Henry, Reynolds, a combo guard (Millinghaus), and then a PG and call it a day.

For real though, I'm getting anxious waiting to see who will end up joining this class.

All of Horns recruits except Bruce, just a hunch. And remember, Bruce is on a football scholly.

Even if Bruce stays, I doubt he will see much playing time if Johnson is as advertised, and Millinghaus can run the point.

Apparently he's a different case. I don't know what the deal is with him. Doesn't sound like he will be playing here. He had to have a 2nd surgery last month after a setback.

If all those guys end up leaving we won't be much better than this past year. Need some depth. I'd like to see Richardson, Bruce, and Williams come back. Maybe Slawson as a guy off the bench.

I agree with the guys you said. Maybe not Slawson. With all these forwards he's recruiting, he may be pushed out. We're just completely guessing though

No. Not a knock on Henry as it would great to land him., He's explosive, but at least from the highlight videos it's mostly dunk after dunk, so hard to say how much of his game needs to develop. Reynold's game seems a bit more well-rounded. Couldn't embed the video, but here's a link.

It's not who's leaving, it's whose schollie won't be renewed. I don't think we will have another Galloway situation with any of these guys however. He is cleaning house. He has a job to do so he is doing what is right for his job, his program. He is going out and getting players who are tough. He is tired of soft players.
