Default LET'S GIVE 2010 AUBURN FULL IMMUNITY

Honestly I think this is funny...

LET'S GIVE 2010 AUBURN FULL IMMUNITY

Quote:
Can we just give every player and coach on the 2010 Auburn title team complete and total immunity in exchange for the whole truth about that season?

At this point anyone with a working brain knows that 2010 Auburn was one of the biggest cheating teams in NCAA history. I mean, just look at the roster of allegations. From buying Cam Newton, to robbing houses, to paying players, to insane amounts of drug use, to illegally recruiting players, to changing grades to keep players eligible, if there's an NCAA rule on the books, 2010 Auburn probably broke it.
I bout fell out my chair at this one...

Quote:
Even 1980's Miami players are like, "Damn, y'all need to chill at Auburn."

They had a confession by Cecil Newton who said he spoke to an agent
in regards to (AT LEAST) the Mississippi State side of that Cam Newton
bidding war, which by NCAA rules (whether Cam knew about it or not...
and we all know he did), Still makes him inelligable to play football that
season. The NCAA didn't have the balls to do anything about it, and
eventually said (in other words), since cam didn't know about it there's
no violation ?!?!?
Then Slive still had the chance to step in and do the right thing, but as
we all know, that would have basically eliminated Auburn from the
Title game and with the SEC name on the line, he basically said the same
thing siting that the conference rule he should have inforced was old
and outdated....WHICH BY THE WAY, he said they were going to get right
on and update. .....Still hasn't been updated.

I've gotten to the point to where you see crap in the paper or on the net
like this (with the Miami, UNC, etc...) situations and the NCAA basicall
doing nothing about it, that I really don't care any more. We all know it's
not a level playing field. We all know that some teams can get away with
outright murder, while other teams get nit picked to death when facing
the NCAA. It has become a joke watching the NCAA get involved in any
kind of "investigation" process now. They take 4 years to look into something,
another 4 years to come up with a ruling and then the ruling is
inconsistent, and is measured out only to how nationally recognized
your school / program is over the last 100 years.

I would bet Carl Lawson got some dough also. Why would a 5 star recruit want to go to a 3-9 school that lost 49-0 against Alabama? Something isn't right. While your at it why don't you check if Muschamp learned something from his Auburn days and doled out cash to Matt Rolin for a committment

Not true.

The 'Cecil Newton Rule' was put into effect AFTER the Cam Newton controversy.

Now, if the same thing happened NOW...then Cam would be ineligible, most definitely. But at the time, it was completely within rules for his father to shop him around, assuming he didnt actually take money. I know, I know...any logical person would tell you he must have taken money, but since that has not been proven, then the only thing we have to go on is the fact his father confessed to shopping him.

Again- at the time, this was not against the rules, but the NCAA has implemented a rule after-the-fact.

They didn't need a rule. All they needed to do was rule that there was a enough circumstantial evidence to deem that he had been paid or that Cam knew what was his father was doing and was doing it for him and rule him ineligible. Like Spurticus said, the NCAA just didn't have the huevos to do that.

Circumstantial evidence? Really?

Hey, I wanted Carolina to win the SEC that year just as much as anyone, but for you expect the NCAA to rule based on circumstantial evidence is absurd. When have they done that before (i realize they don't operate based on precedent)

Nothing to see here, let's just move along. I was watching the NCAA president being asked a question on the subject today and basically ignored it.

Actually Cam was ineligible due to SEC rules, it didn't matter if he knew or not the way the SEC bylaws are written is that he should not have been able to play. But its time to let this mess go its been 3 years since it happened and I love that Cam is a Panther so it needs to be water under the bridge.

Let's say the NCAA vacates Auburn's 2010 wins. What would happen to those 12 games? Would there just be no winner for those?

Normally, they'll take away all the wins of the team in question, but it still counts as a loss for whoever lost to them.
