![]() Has anyone had the delight of trying this masterful sandwich? It is a blend of French and Vietnamese influence. It is basically a type of meat (chicken, pork, etc.) prepared in a Vietnamese style that comes on a French baguette accompanied by shredded carrots, a slice of cucumber, slice of jalapeņo, and cilantro. Top it off with some Siracha and you are living well.
I bring this up because I am in Houston this weekend and was lucky enough to pay a visit to my favorite place. Les Givrales is the name and you can purchase one of these beauties for a mere $2.50. Heavenly is about the only way to describe it. |

![]() Been having them for years here in Orlando's "Little Saigon" area. During the colonial era VietNam was run by the French. That is why there is such a strong French culinary influence there.

![]() Eat them in Charlotte on the reg. little Vietnamese place in a shady part of town (corner of Eastway and N. Tryon) I do mine with pork belly. Can't beat it for 3.50.
