Default New job: need room near Charleston

This may be the strangest request ever on Cockytalk, but could be one of the most compassionate if we can pull it off.

I know a guy in Bluffton who has been jobless for a long time who has been hired to work at Boeing in Charleston (about 100 miles from home). I helped him find this job through a Charleston business contact. He is "starting over," in a certain respect, with limited resources. He will be working long hours 5-6 days a week and just needs a place to sleep.

Anyone have any suggestion on where he can stay for a VERY reasonable rate? Any suggestions would be appreciated, including charities, share-rent on apt., tent camping sites, Etc.

The following are some of the facts:

Black guy, thirty-something, married with 4 children, wife and family living with her mother for now, first paycheck for both the guy and his wife - next Friday (7/19), has car.
