Default Tanner McEvoy prepares for 2013 season

I had no idea he was going to be starter at Wisconsin

He had a brush with the law in high school. He got into a small bit of trouble here. He seemed to do well in Arizona. He shows up in Wisconsin and is promptly robbed while out late. He likes to party.

That doesn't say he's the starter. It says he is 3rd string and has a chance to compete, like every coach says about every 3rd string qb.

I wish him luck where ever he goes..... He would not have seen a single
rep in his career here (As a QB). After a full season of working in the
offense as a QB, and then having the coaches ask if you'd be willing to
move to a TE position is telling. ...... Good Luck to him in Wisconsin.

Yes it is....if he wanted to fulfill his dream of being a Div-I QB, it likely wouldn't have happened here. I respect his move to try and fulfill his dream.

Me too. His brushes with the law were trivial. Sounds like he grew up.

I hope he gets to start eventually. I wanna see what he can do.

Looking at his old vids and some practice highlights, it seems like he's good at the beginning and end of each play but struggled in the middle. Hepasses the eye test for a big time QB, he can see over the line well, but then he's a bit clumsy and error prone while reading the field and running around, but then he can really heave the ball and run fast in space.

Should be entertaining if he ever sees time. Good luck to him.

If anything, this speaks to the recruiting prowess of our coaching staff. I can't remember ever, really, having a QB leave due to depth and being able to earn his way to starting job at one of the better schools in a major conference. Likely because a) we haven't had solid depth at QB and b) they left for a reason that would put them in a hard way to do so. The only one I can think of in recent history is Aramis starting at Coastal, which obviously isn't near Wisconsin in prestige. Tommy Beecher going to Liberty, also. Hell, when I was a freshman at Carolina, we had Dondrail Pinkins, enough said. We're pretty blessed to be in the shape we're in, QB wise.

It truly is a great time to be a Gamecock!

Both the talent of incoming freshmen QBs and the way they improve as they hang around can be attributed to one man's plan.
