![]() The 7-day calls for a cold front to dip back in starting on Sunday and it should be dry the first part of next week. Hopefully that weather will stick around to next Thursday. I saw this on WIS BTW. Ben Tanner never lies.

![]() Wow is it unseasonably cool in Columbia! It wasn't that way the last few years!

![]() In all my years in SC I can't recall as much summer rain and such mild temps. In Greenville we've had, oh...I dunno...maybe 6-8 days of 90+ temps? I'm guessing we'd typically have 40-60.

![]() Yea, it has been unseasonally cool all year. Mosquito population is way up from all the rain though. I don't remember seeing it rain yesterday, but everything was just wet all day (downtown Columbia). Woke up, everything's still wet, don't remember it raining. I hope the temperature stays, but the rain leaves (I'd settle for over cast) for next Thursday's game. 9 days guys. I'm about to explode garnet.

![]() I was really expecting someone to have the forecast as "mostly Clowney with 100% chance of pain." No way to know for sure what will happen this far out. Meteorologists can barely figure out what is going to happen tomorrow, much less 10 days out.

![]() The weather decides to not be brutal the one year in the past 21 years.. Of course I decided to move to a more brutal climate.

![]() I'll take 70 and pouring rain over 95 and high humidity anyday.

So, you'd rather stay inside all day than be able to do ... anything? 95 and high humidity is uncomfortable, but pouring rain you can't do anything with. |

I'm talking about for the football game . I can put on rain gear to stay dry, but I can only remove so much clothing to stay cool. I'd certainly prefer it to be about 70 at kickoff and no rain, but if I had to pick I would certainly take the rain over the heat & humidity. As for just in general, there isn't much I'm going to do outside in the hot weather than I couldn't do in the rain. I can go running in the rain and have many times. I can go fishing in the rain, something I've done plenty of times. |

![]() We run a snow ski website and have three meteorologists on staff and they ALL say that even with the best doppler equipment, etc - that ANY forecast more than 4 days out is based mostly on historical data and not the actual forecast. Obviously the way that this summer has gone...you could bet on rain nearly every day and win the forecasting battle recently.
However, with next Thursday night literally (8) days out - don't consider the forecast as reliable. Monday or Tuesday have a look and then you'll get a fair idea of what to expect - but even then things can turn on a dime.
