Default North Carolina's Offensive Game Plan

Everybody is denigrating Clowney's performance last night, but UNC's offense is predicated on short drops and quick throws. They were one of the toughest teams in the country to sack last year.Howver, using this strategy they put almost no pressure on our secondary and I never felt like they were going to run by us.Hence, it came down to tackling and I though the DB's did a good job tackling for the most part.North Carolina averaged over 40 points and 400 ypg last year o less than 300 yds and 10 points is a pretty good night in my book.Is there room for improvement?Absolutely, but overall it was a solid opener on the D side of the ball for me.

Default Re: North Carolina's Offensive Game Plan

nice point. I agree with everything you said. Also they went away from JD all night. I also saw sufficient depth on the defensive side of the ball. The 2nd team may be a little more smaller(the defensive ends) but they are extremely quick. They may cause the more traditional offenses fits in passing downs.
