Default ESPN's First Take Podcast Friday

I'm listening to Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless' podcast from Friday, and they opened up (obviously) with a discussion about JaDeveon and his performance Thursday night.

To sum it up, Skip says that JD was gassed, he didn't take plays off, but still impacted the game. That he was trying to win the Heisman on every first half play, and it wore him out. He closed his argument by saying that JD came into the post game press conference and invited the media to ask about his conditioning, and closed his time with stating that he doesn't care about his stat line, that we won the game.

Stephen A. says that he's glad that JD is being critiqued negatively. That he feels that JD was eating up all the hype, and that his performance and the subsequent criticism from the pundits will humble him and make him calm down and play the game that we all know he can. Stephen A. doesn't feel that JD impacted the game as much as Skip does because his stat line didn't stand out. He also says that he understands all of the factors that went into his performance, and he expects him to focus over the course of the week and improve over his performance Thursday night.

I usually think that at least one of these two are complete idiots, but in this instance I understand and fully agree with both of their arguments. If you guys didn't hear it Friday morning, or haven't downloaded the podcast yet, I suggest you do...it's actually a good listen.

Thoughts?
