Default One window closing, another opening

OK, that thread title is a little dramatic, but you know how we do after a big loss. This is a glimpse ahead thread, so if you wanna stay focus on this season, please don't read further.

We lose Ronald Patrick and Connor on offense after this year. We'll lose Clowney, Sutton, and Legree on defense, potentially Vic. Imagine if Vic and Clowney decide to stay, unhappy with how this season went (not a chance). Imagine if they both left, even. This current season is effectively grooming a lot of our hopefuls towards our ultimate goal, the SEC. If we can recover and play better mentally, we can easily do it THIS season. We have the leaders on O, we're looking for it on D. However,

We are looking freaking beastly on offense next season: runningbacks alone are Bama level, QBs are as good as it gets IMO, Oline will be our best all-time IMO, and we'll have a seriously fast and experienced receiving corp including massive tight ends.

What we do with these young speedsters on defense, both mentally and physically this year and the off-season will determine what kind of product we back up this season with. Because we lose a ton on both sides of the ball the year after that. (Dylan, Surratt, Robinson, Nicky Jones, Hull, Vic, Golightly, Gibson, Fish, Cann, Brison, Quarles, Matulis, K Marcus, Bruce, Buster, and Damiere)

This team has a two year window to get this thing done. Things are less certain after that, moving into the Connor Mitch era. We'll have new talent, and new star weapons, so who knows. Another window will open, but it might not be as wide as the current one that slid down a notch Saturday.

Loose all them ayers then who do you have on D? Sure don't have much now, it'll be worse next year.

There's a very good chance that both Cann and Quarles leave after this year. If our OL is OK next year, our offense will be fine.

Cmon man, that loss stung, but we have a ton of talent on D, that talent just didn't know where to be against UGA. You'll see them have much better games as the weeks roll by. It's more on the coaches from what I saw. Had Spurrier known we were gonna give up 40 points, he would've been more aggressive, but oh well right? We lack nothing physically except size at LB, and that'll be better next season.

Losing our D-ends will hurt for sure, but we have a good opportunity to get some of these 19 and 20 year old Spur, Linebacker, safety types heavier and stronger and SMARTER over the next year.

Our offense is gonna be nastier and nastier leading up to the end of 2014, I see potential in our defense, even losing both ends and maybe both corners.

Don't take it for granted that we continue to get a stream of elite recruits, because a loss like the one to UGA and the way we lost will affect recruiting.

Substitute window for door and I think you've got something. Of course, by opening up a window you can let some fresh air in.
