Default Pulled pork recipes

I just picked up a Boston Butt from the store and have a crock pot at home. I was wondering if anyone has a pretty simple recipe for pulled pork. I want to cook something Friday night and have it for the game Saturday. And I'm a novice in the cooking department.

Any recipes or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Just dump a can of coke, root beer, dr pepper, etc in and cook for like 8 hours. That's the simple, standard procedure.

Easiest way: Salt and pepper, Sear it on all sides in a pan of oil to brown the outside. Stick it in the crock with just a quarter inch of stock or even water, and throw in come Diced up some sweet onion and garlic, and let it slow cook until it falls apart with a fork. You can add sauce after the fact if you're trying for quick and easy. There is enough fat in the thing that the liquids will increase as it cooks. Hard to mess this one up, you'll be fine.

1. Cover with Rub (even McCormick Rub is good)
2. Let sit for several hours with rub
3. Put in Crockpot fat up
4. Add Onion
5. Add 1 cup Apple Cider
6. Cook for 8 to 12 hours (depends on size) on Low heat
7. Remove from Crockpot, discard juices
8. Let cool on a sheet pan
9. Remove all fat & pull
10. Add your favorite sauce.

It is actually even better the next day.
