Default Which receiver steps up this week?

Through four games we have had four different receivers step up.
UNC-Jones, 4-21; Roland 2-75 TD
UGA-Jones, 6-97 2 TD
VANDY-Ellington, 8-111 TD
UCF-Byrd, 5-74; Ellington, 4-88

My question is, who steps up this week.
Seems after one guy has a big game, teams gameplan for him leaving another guy open.

My money is it is high time Rory Anderson had a breakout game.
I'm talking 5 catches, 75 yards and 2 TD.

Just for fun, who you guys looking to take advantage against Kentucky.

If Roland doesn't play, I imagine Byrd will have another nice outing.

For the second year in a row, our smurfs are producing.

Yes they are.
And so far, Roland has turned in a disappointing start to the season.
I hope he gets with the picture, because right now Nick Jones, barely a three-star prospect, is outplaying his ass.

I wouldn't say he has been outplaying him. Roland has more yardage and he missed a game.

Ellington (14), Jones (12), Roland (8), Byrd (8) .. So there isn't that big of a descrepancy between our top 4. Looks fairly balanced.

All average over 10 yards a catch which is great.

Mike Davis is actually 3rd on the team with 9 grabs.

we won't need any receiver to have a breakout game if we stick to power I football. Run davis, throw screens to davis, hit the TE's crossing over the middle. Spurrier will always take shots deep so if i had to choose it would be bruce with the best game.

I'd be near a heart attack to see a Carolina offense put out these numbers when they should (against inferior opponents) and then one every now and then against a quality team:

500 yards offense
35/40 passing, 325 yards, 3 TDs spread out to 4 different receivers/TEs
25 carries for 175 yards rushing, 2 TDs

I feel like now, more than ever, we have the chance to spread the ball around and have more talent running routes collectively than ever. It was nice to have Sidney...then Kenny...then Alshon...but we knew what to expect and always had to milk it.

NJ has been really good this year until the drop 2 days ago.....he's caught everything else he's touched.

Yep, I think that drop surprised him more than anybody. He looked distraught after it.

Almost made a sensational play for a TD later in the game on a post-corner.

Not worried about him going forward.

This group needs to get Roland back into the fold though.

I agree with you there.
His talent alone should seperate him this weekend if he plays.
we just need him to get his head straight and play with full effort every play.

I expect a lot more balls in the air this weekend with Dylan, so Shaq and the others should have ample opportunity for catches.

If we're talking about the same play, that was TD and I was really mad it wasn't reviewed. He had his right foot down when he caught the ball, and my brother and two other friends agreed.
